- Extra Details:
- TPST1, also known as protein-tyrosine sulfotransferase 1, is the enzyme that catalyzes the sulfation reaction of protein tyrosines, a post-translational modification of proteins. It utilizes 3'-Phosphoadenosine-5'-phosphosulfate (PAPS) as the sulfonate donor and binds proteins with target tyrosine residues to eventually form the tyrosine O-sulfate ester group and the desulfonated 3'-phosphoadenosine-5'-phosphate (PAP). Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa26-370 from human TPST1, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell. Molecular Weight: ~40.6kD (354aa) 40-57kD (SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.) Endotoxin: ~1EU/1ug (LAL) Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
