- Extra Details:
- CHI3L1, also known as chitinase-3-like protein 1, is a member of the glycosyl hydrolase 18 family. This protein can bind heparins, probably as heparin sulfate. It has been found to enhance cell adhesion and promote cell signaling, proliferation and tumor angiogenesis. Elevated serum CHI3L1 levels occur in some conditions characterized by inflammation and connective tissue remodeling such as arthritis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and liver cirrhosis. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa22-383 from human CHI3L1, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell. Molecular Weight: ~41.4kD (370aa) 40-57KD (SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions) Endotoxin: ~1EU/1ug (LAL) Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
