- Control Peptide for A0578-10. The acid-sensing ion channel family (ASIC) comprises six discrete ASIC subunits (ASIC 1A, ASIC 1B, ASIC 2A, ASIC 2B, ASIC 3, ASIC 4) that detect tissue acidosis (i.e. a decrease in pH). This acidosis phenomenon is a response to tissue injury, pain and inflammation. Source: Synthetic peptide corresponding to aa3-18, AGSELDEGDDSPRDLV, of rat ASIC beta at N-terminal. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Antibody Blocking. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
