Extra Details:
Basic Blue 41 is a basic dye that is used in the detection of proteins and nucleic acids. It contains nitrogen atoms, which are chemically stable and have low detection sensitivity. Basic Blue 41 has been used as an adsorbent to remove particles from wastewater, and it has shown effectiveness in the removal of enzymes inhibitors, such as phenols, from wastewater. Basic Blue 41 can be activated by heat or chemical treatment to increase its surface area for better adsorption. Basic Blue 41 adsorbs onto surfaces via hydrophobic interactions with a pKa value of 10-11. The thermodynamic data for this dye has been determined experimentally using adsorption isotherms, and kinetic data for the reaction has been determined using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
