About this Product

Extra Details:
LAP3, also known as cytosol aminopeptidase, is presumably involved in the processing and regular turnover of intracellular proteins. This protein catalyzes the removal of unsubstituted N-terminal amino acids from various peptides. It release of an N-terminal amino acid, Xaa-|-Yaa-, in which Xaa is preferably Leu, but may be other amino acids including Pro although not Arg or Lys, and Yaa may be Pro. Amino acid amides and methyl esters are also readily hydrolyzed, but rates on arylamides are exceedingly low. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-519 from human LAP3, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~58.3kD (539aa) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
