- Protein G is a monomeric protein expressed by Strepococcus bacteria. Binds IgG including all human and mouse subclasses; does not bind IgM, IgA, IgE, or bovine serum albumin Recombinant protein corresponding to Streptococcus (stain G148) monomeric protein, lacking cysteine residues; Mr 22kD (Mr by SDS-PAGE -32kD), expressed in E. coli. Contains a Streptavidin Binding Peptide (SBP) tag Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:4000-1:8000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
