- Human interleukin-8 (IL-8) is an 8.4kD protein containing 72 amino acid residues. It promotes neutrophil chemotaxis and degranulation. The 72 amino acid IL-8 is the predominant form secreted by monocytes and lymphocytes. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human IL-8 expressed in E. coli. Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to chemoattract human peripheral blood neutrophils using a concentration range of 10.0-100.0ng/ml. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
