- Endothelin-1 (ET-1) is produced by many tissues including lung, kidney, brain, endocrine glands, and placenta. It is also expressed by several cell types including, mast cells, endothelial cells, epithelial and smooth muscle cells. The most prominent source is vascular endothelium. ET-1 is best known as a potent vasoconstrictor. Elevated blood ET-1 levels are associated with a variety of diseases, possibly as a function of a stress response. Sample Type: Cell culture supernates Intended Use: This BioAssay™ DuoSet ELISA Development kit contains the basic components required for the development of sandwich ELISAs to measure natural and synthetic Endothelin Pan Specific. DuoSets are designed for the analysis of cell culture supernates. Range: ~3.91-250pg/ml Specificity: Recognizes natural and synthetic Endothelin Pan Specific. Kit Components: Rat anti-Endothelin Pan Specific capture antibody, 1x vial Biotinylated mouse anti-Endothelin Pan Specific detection antibody, 1x vial Endothelin standard, 3x vials Streptavidin-HRP, 1x vial Storage and Stability: Store other components at 4°C. Stable for 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
