- XIAP (Xchromosome linked inhibitor of apoptosis) is a member of the apoptosis (IAP) family of proteins that inhibit caspases. The BIR2 domain of XIAP inhibits caspase3 and caspase7. The ability of XIAP to inhibit caspases is prevented by SMAC/Diablo through binding to XIAPBIR2 and BIR3 domains. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.25ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O or PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
