- Histatins are salivary proteins that are considered to be major precursors of the protective proteinaceous structure on tooth surfaces (enamel pellicle). In addition, histatins exhibit antibacterial and antifungal activities. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:100-1:200 Western Blot: 1:100-1:400 Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 1:100-1:500 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:50-1:200 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
