- NELF-E (Negative elongation factor E) is a main component of NELF human transcription factor complex which associates with DRB sensitivity-inducing factor to stifle transcriptional elongation by RNA polymerase II. NELF-E is an RNA-binding protein that includes arginine-aspartic acid dipeptide repeats. NELF-E RNA-binding activity is essential for NELF to function. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.5ug/ml detected NELF-E on 10ug of L6 cell lysate. Immunocytochemistry: 1:500 detected NELF-E in NIH/3T3 and HeLa cells. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
