- MDM2 is over-expressed in many tumors. Its principal function is the ubiquitination and degradation of p53 tumor suppressor protein. This monoclonal antibody also recognizes a peptide epitope around Thr-216 of murine MDM2 when Thr-216 is unphosphorylated. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5ug/ml detected MDM2 on 10ug of MCF-7 cell lysate. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
