It is a key enzyme in the synthesis of thyroid hormone. It is highly expressed in normal, proliferative and most benign thyroid tissues, and significantly reduced in thyroid malignant tumors. Therefore, the antibody can be used in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid tumors.
