- Specificity:
- This antibody binds rat CD4 cell surface antigen. CD4 is a transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on T helper cells, thymocytes, monocytes and macrophages. It plays an important role in the response of T helper cells to antigen. This antibody binds an identical or adjacent epitope to that bound by W3/25 antibody, and competes with mouse anti-rat CD4 antibody W3/25 for binding rat CD4.
