- Endo-β-N-acetylglucosaminidase (ENGase) is a deglycosylase that specifically hydrolyzes N-linked glycans on glycoproteins. Endo-β-N-acetylglucosaminidase hydrolyzes the β1-4 glycosidic bond between GlcNAc residues in the core of N-glycans; exhibits transglycosylation activity; and shows substrate selectivity toward core-fucosylated; galactosylated; or sialylated complex-type N-glycans. Endo-β-N-acetylglucosaminidase can be used for glycan analysis; glycoprotein modification; and the development of pharmaceutical raw materials or therapeutic antibodies[1][2].
