Imetelstat induces Apoptosis. Imetelstat is capable of selectively eliminating myelofibrosis hematopoietic stem cells. Imetelstat leads to the loss of a cancer cell's ability to maintain telomere length; resulting in the inhibition of cell proliferation[1][2].
