- Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 20 (CCL20) also known as liver activation regulated chemokine (LARC) or Macrophage Inflammatory Protein-3 (MIP3 alpha) is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family. It is strongly chemotactic for lymphocytes and weakly attracts neutrophils. Additionally, it promotes the adhesion of memory CD4+ T cells and inhibits colony formation of bone marrow myeloid immature progenitors.Recombinant humanMIP-3 alpha/CCL20 produced in CHO cells is a polypeptide chain containing 70 amino acids. A fully biologically active molecule, rhMIP-3 alpha/CCL20 has a molecular mass of 8kDa analyzed by reducing SDS-PAGE and is obtained by chromatographic techniques.
