The immunogen sequence is not conserved between human Bcl-2 and most other species. Therefore this antibody may be particularly useful for detecting human Bcl-2 in transgenic studies. Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis: Human (100%), Gorilla (94%), Gibbon (94%), Monkey (94%).
