- MG-132 is a potent, cell-permeable inhibitor of the proteasome (IC50=0.1 uM) and calpain (IC50=1.2 uM). MG-132 inhibits TNF-A Alpha-induced NF-K KappaB activation and IK KappaBA Alpha degradation (IC50=3 uM). MG-132 reduces the degradation of ubiquitin-conjugated proteins in different cell types and promotes apoptosis via activation of c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK1).
