- The Insect Intracellular SUMOstar Expression Kit contains everything necessary to express your protein of interest (POI) as a SUMOstar fusion protein in a baculovirus expression vector system (BEVS). Bacmid generation from pI-secSUMOstar requires the use of DH10bac for transposition into the baculoviral genome. Expression of fusion proteins is driven by the late stage viral polyhedrin promoter (polh). For propagation in E. coli pI-SUMOstar contains an ampicillin marker. Chicken anti-SUMO/SUMOstar is included for analysis of protein production and secretion. The inclusion of SUMOstar Protease 1, along with the control SUMOstar-GFP, allows for removal of the SUMOstar tag from the POI with high efficiency and fidelity.
