- Extra Details:
- Pepstatin A is an inhibitor of aspartyl peptidases. Pepstatin A is highly selective for proteases such as pepsin, renin, cathepsin D, bovine chymosin, and protease B and does not inhibit thiol proteases, neutral proteases, or serine proteases. Pepstatin A also inhibits solubilized I³-secretase and retroviral proteases and has been used to characterize proteases from a number of sources.
