- Extra Details:
- VPM-p15 is an optimised version of the peptide p15, itself an activator derived from the ADGRG2 Stachel sequence, an agonist sequence found within within the large ectodomains of members of the adhesion G protein-coupled receptor (aGPCR) family. VPM-p15 activates ADGRG2 with significantly improved (>2 orders of magnitude) affinity compared to p15. VPM-p15 is a useful tool to investigate the function of ADGRG2, which is a critical regulator of male fertility that maintains ion/pH homeostasis and CFTR coupling.
