- Ervogastat is a potent (IC50 = 17.2 nM) and selective (against DGAT1 and MGATs 1-3) inhibitor of diacylglycerol transferase 2 (DGAT2). It reduced liver and plasma triglyceride levels in Sprague-Dawley rats feed a high fat high cholesterol diet by 49% and 70% respectively.1 Ervogastat displayed efficacy in combination with the ACC inhibitor clesacostat in resolving metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) with liver fibrosis.2
