Although IgG2 has weak binding with C1q, it can still trigger CDC effect when the antigen or antibody solubility is high, and IgG2 is the only subtype that can bind FC-G Gammariia (CD32a). Moreover, this binding can be regulated by single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPS), which can affect the functional activity of IgG2.
