Galactose-specific lectin which binds IgE. May mediate with the alpha-3, beta-1 integrin the stimulation by CSPG4 of endothelial cells migration. Together with DMBT1, required for terminal differentiation of columnar epithelial cells during early embryogenesis. In the nucleus: acts as a pre-mRNA splicing factor. Involved in acute inflammatory responses including neutrophil activation and adhesion, chemoattraction of monocytes macrophages, opsonization of apoptotic neutrophils, and activation of mast cells. Together with TRIM16, coordinates the recognition of membrane damage with mobilization of the core autophagy regulators ATG16L1 and BECN1 in response to damaged endomembranes. None (Azide-Free,Low Endotoxin) are perfectly suited to be used in culture or in vivo (for nonhuman studies) for functional assays blocking, neutralizing, activation or depletion where the presence of azide may damage cells or exogenous endotoxin may signal or activate cells.

Jurkat were activated for 4 hour with MIX, then stained with 0.2 ug Purified Anti-Human CD83 Antibody[HB15e] (Right) and 0.2 ug Mouse IgG1, K Kappa Isotype Control (Left), followed by FITC-conjugated Goat Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody.
C57/BL6 Mouse splenocytes were stained with 0.2 ug AF/LE Purified Anti-Mouse CD86 Antibody[GL-1] (Right) and 0.2 ug Rat IgG2a, K Kappa Isotype Control (Left), followed by PE-conjugated Goat Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody.
