- Sphinganine-biotin is a biotin conjugated sphinganine that can be used for binding streptavidin coated surfaces. \n \nSphinganine (or Dihydrosphingosine) is an intermediate in the sphingolipid biosynthetic pathway. It is formed by the reduction of 3-Ketodihydrosphingosine Reductase (KDHR). Sphinganine is then acylated by Dihydroceramide synthase but can also act as a substrate for sphingosine kinases. Sphinganine can also inhibit Protein kinase C. Sphinganine-biotin is labeled at the terminal position and can be used for binding streptavidin coated surfaces. \nStorage \n-20 °C or below \n \nBulk quantities of this product are available.
