About this Product
- SKU:
- ECH-P-5008
- Extra Details:
- Phosphatidylinositol 5-phosphate diC8 (PI(5)P diC8) is a synthetic, purified dioctanoyl PI(5)P. \n \nPhosphoinositides (PIPns) are minor components of cellular membranes but are integral signaling molecules for cellular communication. Phosphatidylinositol 5-phosphate (PI(5)P) is a rare lipid found in the nucleus that can bind the PHD finger of the nuclear adapter protein ING2. PI(5)P is phosphorylated to PI(4,5)P2 by Type II PIP kinases. \n \n \n \nStorage \n-20 °C \nFeatured in Publications \n1) Ikonomov, O. C., D. Sbrissa, et al. (2002). "Functional dissection of lipid and protein kinase signals of PIKfyve reveals the role of PtdIns 3,5-P2 production for endomembrane integrity." J Biol Chem 277(11): 9206-11. \n2) Hinchliffe, K. A., M. L. Giudici, et al. (2002). "Type IIalpha phosphatidylinositol phosphate kinase associates with the plasma membrane via interaction with type I isoforms." "Phosphatidylinositol 5-phosphate biosynthesis is linked to PIKfyve and is involved in osmotic response pathway in mammalian cells."
