Extra Details:
PI(3,4)P2 diC16 (Phosphatidylinositol 3,4-bisphosphate diC16) ammonium salt is a synthetic dipalmitoyl PI(3,4)P2. \n \nPhosphoinositides (PIPns) are minor components of cellular membranes but are integral signaling molecules for cellular communication. Phosphatidylinositol 3,4-bisphosphate (PI(3,4)P2) is produced in stimulated cells by the action of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinases (PI3Ks) and/or lipid phosphatases (SHIP, TPTE, etc.). PI(3,4)P2 binds the pleckstrin homology (PH)-domain of AKT/PKB leading to cell survival and it also has an important role in podosome formation near focal adhesions. \nSolubility \n70:28:4 CHCl3:MeOH:H2O, 0.5 mg/ml \nFeatured in Publications \n1) Dowler, S., R. A. Currie, et al. (1999). "DAPP1: a dual adaptor for phosphotyrosine and 3-phosphoinositides." Biochem J 342(Pt 1): 7-12. \n2) Karathanassis, D., R. V. Stahelin, et al. (2002).
