About this Product
- SKU:
- ECH-P-3008A
- Extra Details:
- PI(3)P diC8 (Phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate diC8) ammonium salt is a synthetic, purified dioctanoyl PI(3)P. \n \nPhosphoinositides (PIPns) are minor components of cellular membranes but are integral signaling molecules for cellular communication. Phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate is enriched in early endosomes having roles in endosome fusion and receptor sorting and internalization in multivesicular bodies. PI(3)P has also been found at the plasma membrane and is involved in the translocation of the glucose transport protein GLUT4. \n \n \n \nFeatured in Publications \n1) Mari, M., E. Macia, et al. (2001). "Role of the FYVE finger and the RUN domain for the subcellular localization of Rabip4." J Biol Chem 276(45): 42501-8. \n2) Kim, S. A., G. S. Taylor, et al. (2002). "Myotubularin and MTMR2, phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphatases mutated in myotubular myopathy and type 4B Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease." J Biol Chem 277(6): 4526-31. \n3) Koharudin, L. M., W. Furey, et al. (2009). "The phox domain of sorting nexin 5 lacks phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate (PtdIns(3)P) specificity and preferentially binds to phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PtdIns(4,5)P2)." J Biol Chem 284(35): 23697-707. \n \nProduct Keywords: Dioctanoyl Phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate, PtdIns(3)P C8, PI(3)P C8, or PI3P \n \nBulk discounts available, please email echelon@echelon-inc.com for information. \n \n \n \nDocuments \nTechnical Data Sheet, Echelon
