- Extra Details:
- Biotin-Phosphatidylcholine is a functionalized phosphatidylcholine with biotin conjugated to the sn1 acyl chain. \n \nPhosphatidylcholine (PC) is generally the most abundant lipid in animal cell membranes providing structural framework. PC is more common in the outer leaflet where it functions as part of the permeability barrier. PC is also the primary substrate of Phospholipase D enzymes which produce the signaling lipids - phosphatidic acid and lysophosphatidic acid. \n \n \n \nFeatured in Publications \n1) Telezhkin, V., J. M. Reilly, et al. (2012). "Structural requirements of membrane phospholipids for M-type potassium channel activation and binding."
