About this Product

- Application:
- Bioactivity
- Extra Details:
- NRG1-β1 (Neuregulin-1 β1), an isoform of Neuregulin-1 (NRG1), belongs to the epidermal growth factor (EGF) family. It regulates diverse cellular processes by binding to ErbB receptors (particularly ErbB3/ErbB4), activating downstream signaling pathways such as PI3K/Akt and MAPK, thereby supporting the survival and proliferation of neurons, cardiomyocytes, mammary epithelial cells, and other cell types. In the nervous system, it promotes Schwann cell differentiation and myelination; in neuronal cultures, NRG1-β1 modulates synapse formation and the expression of neurotransmitter receptors (e.g., NMDA receptors). In mammary cells, it helps regulate ductal morphogenesis.
