- Bioactivity
- Extra Details:
- FGF-10 (Fibroblast Growth Factor 10), a member of the FGF family, is a secreted protein that is highly homologous to FGF-7 (KGF) and functions by binding to the FGFR2b receptor. It is primarily involved in epithelial-mesenchymal interactions, regulating embryonic development, tissue repair, and organ formation (such as in the lungs, skin, and prostate). FGF-10 promotes the proliferation of epithelial cells (e.g., keratinocytes, alveolar epithelial cells, and mammary epithelial cells) and certain mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). In synergy with the Wnt signaling pathway, it is used for the long-term culture of organoids, such as those derived from the intestine and lungs.
