About this Product

- Bioactivity
- Extra Details:
- EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) is a small molecular polypeptide composed of 53 amino acid residues and is a member of the EGF family. It binds to specific receptors on the surface of responsive cells, promoting receptor dimerization and phosphorylation of cytoplasmic sites. The activated receptor can interact with at least five different proteins containing distinct signaling sequences to propagate intracellular signals. As a broad-spectrum mitogen, EGF stimulates mitosis in a variety of cells, promotes tissue maturation and regeneration, accelerates capillary formation, and enhances the proliferation of epidermal and endothelial cells. It plays an essential role in regulating cell growth, proliferation, and differentiation.
