The ALOX15 gene product is implicated in antiinflammation, membrane remodeling, and cancer development/metastasis. Converts arachidonic acid to 15S-hydroperoxyeicosatetraenoic acid. Also acts on C-12 of arachidonate as well as on linoleic acid.
