There is no need to add porcine follicular fluid. HP-POM is a high-performance medium that added TGF-A Alpha to POM (#CK021) and is a serum-free basic medium for porcine oocyte maturation. Although the rate of oocyte maturation in this medium is almost at equal as POM, the increased rate of embryonic development after in vitro fertilization (the blastocyst formation) is reported ##1)###. This medium is sterilized and effectively supports porcine oocyte maturation under a low oxygen condition (5%O$$2$$$/5%CO$$2$$$/90%N$$2$$$, 39°C).
