This gene (IFNGR1) encodes the ligand-binding chain (alpha) of the gamma interferon receptor. Human interferon-gamma receptor is a heterodimer of IFNGR1 and IFNGR2. A genetic variation in IFNGR1 is associated with susceptibility to Helicobacter pylori infection. In addition, defects in IFNGR1 are a cause of mendelian susceptibility to mycobacterial disease, also known as familial disseminated atypical mycobacterial infection. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Flow Cytometry: SiHa cells were blocked with 10% normal goat serum and then stained with ARG40369 anti-CD119 / IFN gamma R1 antibody (blue) at 1 ug/10^6 cells for 30 min at 20°C, followed by incubation with DyLight®488 labelled secondary antibody. Isotype control antibody (green) was rabbit IgG (1 ug/10^6 cells) used under the same conditions. Unlabelled sample (red) was also used as a control.
Western blot: 50 ug of sample under reducing conditions. HepG2 whole cell lysate stained with ARG40369 anti-CD119 / IFN gamma R1 antibody at 0.5 ug/ml, overnight at 4°C.
