- This antibody is specific for human CD39, also known as NTPDase 1 (ectonucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase) or vascular CD39. CD39 works in concert with CD73 (ecto-5'-nucleotidase) to hydrolyze extracellular adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and adenosine diphosphate (ADP), generating adenosine. The resulting adenosine binds to adenosine receptors, inhibiting T-cell and natural killer (NK)-cell
