- This antibody binds the TfR1 binding site in the GP1 subunit of the envelope glycoprotein of Junin virus (JUNV). Junin virus also known as Argentinian mammarenavirus is an arenavirus in the Mammarenavirus genus which causes Argentine Hemorrhagic Fever (AHF). Mammarenaviruses sporadically cause zoonotic infections in humans, which may lead to life-threatening viral hemorrhagic fever (VHF) disease.
