- This antibody binds the gintexin A type PLA2 protein found in the venom of Gloydius intermedius. Gintexin A is Asn-49 type PLA2 isomer that has no enzymatic activity and neurotoxicity. Gentexin is a heterodimer comprising gintexin A and gentexin B. It is estimated that, after the venom enter the blood system GintexinA acts as a "director" to guide the neurotoxin heterodimer to bind to the membrane
