- The antibody is specific for the envelopment polyprotein of SBV. It binds to a conformational epitope on the apical end of the head domain near the N686 glycosylation site. Its epitope has an area of 907 A2 and is centered on the third disulfide bond, with contributions from the regions around helices h8-h10 and h12-h13.
