- This antibody binds human and cynomolgus monkey SIRP alpha, which is a regulatory membrane glycoprotein and an immunoglobulin-like cell surface receptor for CD47. This protein plays a key role in intracellular signaling during synaptogenesis and in synaptic function. Cancer cells highly express CD47 that activates SIRPA Alpha and inhibit macrophage-mediated destruction.
