- This antibody binds human BAFF protein. B-cell-activating factor (BAFF/CD257) is a cytokine belonging to the tumour-necrosis factor (TNF) family. This cytokine binds to TNFRSF13B/TACI, TNFRSF17/BCMA, and TNFRSF13C/BAFF-R. BAFF is a survival factor for B cells that controls B-cell maturation. It is also involved in the stimulation of B- and T-cell function and the regulation of humoral immunity.
