B cells that were harvested from the bone marrow and peripheral blood lymphocytes of immunized chickens was used to generate recombinant scFv phage display libraries. The specific clone was identified by panning the library against specific antigen.

It contains a helix-loop-helix DNA binding motif at the N-terminus, and a dimerization domain at the C-terminus. It interacts with centromeric heterochromatin in chromosomes and binds to a specific 17 bp subset of alphoid satellite DNA,
