- The original antibody was generated by injecting mice with denatured, recombinant human butyrylcholinesterase expressed in Chinese hamster ovary cells. The recombinant butyrylcholinesterase had been denatured and reduced by boiling in 1% sodium dodecyl sulfate containing 5% mercaptoethanol before it was injected into mice.
