- Specificity:
- The antibody binds arginase 1. The binding of the antibody does not sterically block the Arginase 1 active site, but it interacts with an amino acid (Arg21) important to substrate binding by arginase 1, thereby inhibiting enzyme activity. Arginase is a manganese-containing enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of L-arginine to L-ornithine and urea, and modulates T-cell-mediated immune response.
