- This antibody reacts with sulfatide and other sulphated glycolipids found on the surface of early oligodendrocyte progenitors. This antibody also reacted with seminolipid and cholesterol (PMID: 2600978). Oligodendrocytes produce myelin sheath to cover the axons in the central nervous system to support rapid nerve conduction.
