- This antibody reacts with the galactocerebroside and other lipids found on the surface of late oligodendrocyte precursors. This antibody also reacted with monogalactosyl-diglyceride and psychosine (PMID: 2600978). Oligodendrocytes produce myelin sheath to cover the axons in the central nervous system to support rapid nerve conduction.
