- Specificity:
- This antibody binds triple helical citrullinated form of C1 epitope (amino acids 359 - 369 : ARGLTGRPGDA) of collagen type II. The ACC1 antibody cross reacts with denatured CII as well as the denatured triple helical C1 epitope. C1 peptide contains two arginine which are post translationally converted to citrulline. ACC1 was found to recognize the second citrulline at position 365 (PMID: 19204106)
