- This antibody is specific for nonreduced CD4. Human V1 residues (through amino acid 83) are not required for efficient 5A8 binding. human residues of the rod-like B strand which connects V1 and V2 (AA83 -AA105) significantly influence 5A8 binding. human CD4 V2 residues AA105 -AA131 (strands B and C of V2) are absolutely required for 5A8 binding.
