- This antibody is specific for chicken CD80, a type I glycoprotein consisting of two extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains, a transmembrane region, and a cytoplasmic tail. Functionally, CD80 on antigen presenting cells (APCs) binds to CD28 on T cells, thereby providing a costimulatory signal necessary for T cell activation.
